2. What Information We Collect

We collect personal information in two ways:

(a) Information you give us directly

When you use our contact or booking form, you may provide:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Your message, which may include details about your child (for example, age, name, or any relevant medical information you choose to share)

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry or to administer a booking. We will not use it for marketing without your separate consent.

(b) Anonymous usage data via cookies

We collect anonymised data about how visitors use this website through Google Analytics 4 (see Section 4 below). This does not identify you personally.

3. Photography and Video at Camp

We take photos and video at our camps and use them on our social channels (Facebook and Instagram) and on this website, to show what a camp day is actually like.

You can opt out when you book, using the checkbox on the booking form. If you change your mind at any time, email bookings@bournemouthballersholidayclub.com or call 07727 302099, and we will stop using new images of your child.

If a photo or video of your child is already published and you would like it removed, tell us and we will take it down.

We never publish a child's full name alongside their photo.

4. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, loaded via Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors find and use our website. This helps us improve the site over time.

How we use cookies:

• Analytics cookies (such as _ga) are only set after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner at the bottom of this page.
• Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a privacy-preserving, cookieless mode under Google Consent Mode v2. No cookies are written and no personal identifiers are collected.
• If you click "Reject" (or simply close the banner), only essential cookies required for the site to function are used.

Essential cookies are always active and cannot be turned off. They are necessary for basic site functions such as navigation and remembering your cookie choice. They do not track you across other websites.

5. Changing Your Cookie Choice

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by:

• Clearing your browser cookies — the consent banner will reappear on your next visit, and you can make a new choice.

Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew it.

6. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

Where we use third-party services, we only share data to the extent necessary for those services to function:

• Google LLC — as our analytics processor, under a data processing agreement. Google Analytics data is anonymised before transmission when consent has not been given.

We may share information if required to do so by law, or to protect the safety of children in our care.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

• Enquiry and contact form data — kept only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or administer your booking, and then deleted.
• Analytics data — retained in Google Analytics according to the retention period set in our account (currently 14 months). You can find more detail in Google's data retention documentation.

8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances.
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Data portability — receive your data in a commonly used format where applicable.

9. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data submitted via our contact form on the basis of legitimate interests (responding to an enquiry about our services) and, where relevant, to take pre-contractual steps at your request (such as confirming availability for a booking).

Analytics cookies are processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see Section 5).

We may update this privacy and cookie notice from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always show when the most recent change was made. We recommend checking this page periodically.
